Adobe After Effects - Lightsaber Video Tutorial

Well, here it is. Why another video tutorial you may ask? Good question. It's certainly not supposed to replace already well established methods. As the video mentions, it's in essence Ryan Wieber's method combined with MasterZap's tips and tricks, and shows how you can combine the two. In addition to which, I add in a handful of general After Effects 'tips' you may or may not know of, but are certainly helpful either way. And finally, I've been asked for a little while now on how exactly I put some of my glows together (generally for the ones that replicate RvB). This has previously been awkward, as it's not been entirely straightforward, or easy to convey in a text tutorial. So, in addition, I've added in my 'workthrough' (I'm reluctant to call it a method, given that it's largely based around Ryan and MasterZap's stuff).

And so. I leave it totally up to you to accept or reject my workthrough, though I think the general information (I hope) is useful for newbies and oldbies alike. Below are the pictures in the tutorial that i've uploaded for you to see far more clearly, as the compression does obviously make this a little more difficult to see in the video.
Thanks,
Rhys
p.s. Sorry, had a cold when I made the tutorial.

Update: Before I even made this tutorial (let alone released it) I did a clip which closely followed it from RvB, Right-click, save as for the RvB test clip
