Hey guys. I thought i’d drop in with an update with how things are here. As you can see, i managed to get some work done on the firefly model over Christmas, and the ultimate goal will be to drop it into a nice little animation that i’ll be able to put up here and show you. It better be good, because it’s taken around a year.
I also came up with a cool little effect in AE recently for making some interesting intro titles, so as soon as i retrieve the project files for that i seem to have mislaid and my new mic turns up, i’ll hopefully be able to tutorialise that.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year’s, now get back to work! (Also, check out Daniel Broadway’s blog for a cool tip on compositing fog in After Effects)

Well, things are certainly a lot quieter atm. It’s basically because i’m so busy with work - i’ve also tried to get some other guys in for guest stuff, but by-in-large, if you’re working in this industry, you don’t get a lot of free time.
Having said that, i’ve actually made content for a new tutorial, so come easter, hopefully i can get that up.

@ Rhys: Good to hear you got a lot of work - thats not typically in those days of the crysis.
Cant wait to see your new stuff…

Even though its usually ages between content, I always come back looking because I love what you’ve done in the past. Look forward to seeing some new content. Grats on all the work.

4 months and no updates? I know you are busy but please please please just a small sign that you are still alive lol! It doesn’t have to be a tutorial, just a post on whats going on or your Firefly project, or SOMETHING.

Hi guys,
I am, in fact, still alive.
I do have one tutorial waiting in the wings, and im just waiting till i can get the time and space to record it, which will likely be after this semester finishes, and perhaps after some research i’m doing is also.
The Firefly is made in 3DS Max. Hopefully if i get 5 minutes i can make a little update around here.
