What We Are

My name is Rhys Enniks, i'm currently 20, and live in South Wales, UK. Rhys-works.com was originally intended as an online portal to my portfolio and to use as a kind of showcase for what I can do. While it remains that, it's expanded into something that encompasses a larger field regarding the tutorials and the plans I have for it into the future.

I've played with websites for roughly the last 10 years, and only in more recent years moved into visual effects and an interest in film. The problem with running a website like this is everything you want to offer and plan to offer vs the massive learning curve of what is out there to learn. Between websites, VFX, and studying Computer Science there's simply not enough hours in the day to walk every avenue that i'd like, besides all the non-related computer things I want to do more of, as a long-time electric guitarist, for one.

Why We're Here

Having said that, i'd recommend to everyone to make a website of their own, purely to put into the public everything they can do. People have a lot of talents they never make use of, and many people are capable of a lot more than their job description, but never have the opportunity to have it recognised. If there was a way to pool all your interests, and all your skills and put it in one place if for no better reason than to show people what else you're capable of, then it'd be an opportunity worth taking. The point of rhys-works.com is to take advantage of what I and others involved in the website have achieved and share our experience and showcase our results, with the intention of resting a little easier in the knowledge that whatever monotone day job you might have or whatever career you embark upon, the entire spectrum of your talents can be put to work.
